Launched in 2022, in association with Daily Mail Sport and Metro, this is Britain and Europe’s biggest awards event for women’s football.
The ceremony recognises the people, organisations and brands with a track record of promoting the sport and attracts the biggest names in world football.
LEGACIE DEVELOPMENTS
Legacie Developments is a UK leader in construction and residential property development. The award-winning company has been responsible for some of the most important building projects in the North West in recent years and is supported by TGC with media relations and stakeholder engagement.
BRITISH LGBT AWARDS
The British LGBT Awards is now one of the world’s most recognisable LGBT+ events and TGC has been a significant part of its growth since the beginning. Not only did we brand and launch the event in 2014, we’ve partnered with the founders since its inception to provide strategic media relations advice and celebrity and stakeholder engagement. HRH Prince William, Sir Ian McKellen and even Hillary Clinton have all been part of the British LGBT Awards while our public relations support has delivered press coverage across global platforms including CNN, BBC and Sky News.
OLIVER KING FOUNDATION
Our award-winning campaign on behalf of the Oliver King Foundation saw a change in government policy to equip all state-funded schools in England with defibrillators. TGC led a high-level political engagement operation taking the campaign to the heart of the Department of Education and HM Treasury to persuade ministers of the need for this life-saving kit to be available in schools. The political campaign was coupled with a sophisticated social media and press campaign which generated major coverage across Britain’s most influential broadcast, online and print outlets.
FOOTBALL FOR CHANGE
Launched by a host of famous faces from world football, in partnership with TGC, Football For Change is one of the most powerful social mobility movements in the UK and provides life-changing opportunities for young people in education and employment. Through fundraising and grant-making, the initiative is lifting young people out of poverty by giving them the tools to build better futures. Since launching in 2020, the TGC team has raised over £700,000 at two high profile fundraising events which have been backed by stars including Sir Rod Stewart, Noel Gallagher and Olly Murs.
TRENT ALEXANDER-ARNOLD
Trent is one of the biggest names in world football and has been supported by TGC with public relations and around the launch of Football For Change. Away from the pitch, the Liverpool FC defender and England international backs a number of social mobility causes and is passionate about providing opportunities to young people from disadvantaged communities.
CHESTER ZOO
Chester Zoo is the most visited zoo in England and one of the most popular attractions across the United Kingdom.
TGC were engaged to facilitate political visits to the zoo, highlighting their impressive conservation work and worldwide impact in major animal welfare campaigns.
Chester Zoo works across six major field programmes around the world including South America, Africa, Madagascar, Asia and South Asia, while also implementing a breeding campaign for the Bermudan government.
As well as key political engagement, TGC helped re-introduce Chester Zoo to national media after the coronavirus pandemic and helped raise awareness of their new Heart of Africa enclosure alongside a state-of-the-art 56-lodge hotel development .
THE PANDEMIC INSTITUTE
TGC is proud to provide political, stakeholder and media relations support to the Pandemic Institute. The world-leading facility is a medical, academic and civic partnership between the University of Liverpool, Liverpool John Moores University, Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, Liverpool University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Liverpool City Council, Liverpool City Region Combined Authority and Knowledge Quarter Liverpool (KQ Liverpool).
It is committed to helping the world prevent, prepare for and respond more effectively to pandemics. TGC has helped the Pandemic Institute open doors to national and internal political figures as well as provide PR support so that news of its work reaches key audiences.
WESTLIFE
Westlife, the UK’s top selling album group of the 21st century, enlisted the backing of TGC’s senior creative team to lead PR activity across their phenomenal music comeback in 2019.
We’ve supported the pop superstars with ongoing proactive press activity on their comeback and chart-topping album, single releases and their fast-selling tour of all time, securing major TV appearances including The Jonathan Ross Show and performances at events including Radio 2 Live in Hyde Park and the Daily Mirror’s Pride of Britain Awards.
BURBERRY BRITISH DIVERSITY AWARDS
The Burberry sponsored British Diversity Awards annually celebrates the people and organisations across Britain with a track record of promoting equality and diversity. The event is now a mainstay of the UK’s red-carpet calendar and is supported by TGC with public relations, social media strategy and celebrity and stakeholder engagement.
LOCAL SOLUTIONS
Local Solutions’ history as a charity and social enterprise dates all the way back to 1974. TGC was brought on board to help them grow and improve their reputation for innovation and responsiveness.
We also facilitated high-level journalist, political and celebrity visits to Local Solutions while securing strong media interview opportunities in order to highlight and promote important services the charity operates across the UK.
HUYTON ASPHALT
Huyton Asphalt is revolutionising the road surfacing industry, having created a low-carbon asphalt containing recycled materials. The industry leader engaged TGC to showcase their cutting edge product ‘HALO’ which helps to eliminates the horrendous carbon footprint of asphalt on the environment.
TGC is working with Huyton Asphalt to introduce this new net-zero tarmac solution to the company’s external partners, press and political leaders across the UK.
